Hey, ich heiße Lena Schneider und war in Australien, ich bin am 10. Oktober 2011 angekommen um eine Discipleship Training School (DTS) zu machen, auf deutsch übersetzt heißt das Jüngerschafts Schule. Es ist eine sehr Charakter bildende Schule und ich habe viel über mich und über Gott und meine Beziehung zu ihm gelernt!
In den ersten 3 Monaten hatten wir Unterricht und der zweite Teil der DTS war ein Einsatz.
Da wir 52 Schüler waren hatten wir 5 Teams in 5 Verschiedenen Locations. Drei Teams sind nach Papua Neuguinea geflogen und haben in verschiedenen Provinzen mit Kirchen zusammen gearbeitet, Kidsprogramme und Gottesdienste gehalten und einfach Zeit mit Leuten verbracht und Gottes Liebe geteilt. Die anderen 2 Teams sind hier in Australien geblieben, ein Team ist nach Darwin gefahren und hat mit Eingeborenen gearbeitet, in Schule und Jugendgruppen. Mein Team ist de Ost-Küste runter gereist. Wir haben in Schulen Religionsunterricht gemacht, Jugendkreise gehalten, in Öffentlichen Kinder Einrichtungen (PCYC) Programm gemacht. Viele Gebetsspaziergänge und auch jede Menge praktische Arbeit!
In der Zeit ist mir mehr und mehr bewusst geworden wie sehr ich liebe Jugendlichen Gottes Herz zu zeigen und Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen. Ihnen zu erklären wie bedingungslos Jesus liebt und wie sehr er sich eine Beziehung mit ihnen wünscht.
Da ich meine Zeit hier so genossen habe und gerne noch ein bisschen in diesem Umfeld bleiben wollte habe ich mich für eine Stelle als Mission Builder beworben. Mission Builder arbeiten an der Base in verschiedenen Bereichen ohne Bezahlt zu werden, allerdings kann ich hier umsonst wohnen und essen. Ich helfe quasi aus und hoffe, dass meine Anwesenheit ermutigt und bereichert.
In der Zeit die ich in Newcastle als Mission Builder verbracht habe, fing ich an mir mehr und mehr Gedanken über eine ganz bestimmte Schule zu machen, die hier angeboten wird. Die Leiterin dieser Schule hatte mich an einem Abend zu sich eingeladen und mir davon erzählt. Es geht um innovative Jugendarbeit und im prinziep beinhaltet es genau die Dinge mit denen ich gerne arbeiten würde, wenn ich wieder daheim bin.
Also habe ich zwei Wochen lang dafür gebetet ob das Gottes Weg für mein Leben ist und nach einigen Bestätigungen und Zeichen habe ich mich dafür entschieden mich zu bewerben.

Ich bin also bis Dezember 2012 dort gewesen.
Folgendes habe ich im Juli geschrieben:
''Ich weiß, dass Gott vorsorgen wird und jetzt schon große Pläne hat, momentan fehlt mir noch jede Menge Geld, aber da meinem Vater die Welt besitzt mache ich mir nicht zu große Sorgen.
Matthäus 6,32-33 // >>Euer himmlischer Vater kennt eure Bedürfnisse. Wenn ihr für ihn lebt und das Reich Gottes zu eurem wichtigsten Anliegen macht, wird er euch jeden Tag geben, was ihr braucht.<<
Gott tut großes und ich bin so froh diesen Schritt gegangen zu sein, wenn ihr mehr Fragen habt, scheut euch nicht mich anzuschreiben! Ich liebe was ich tue und kann es nur jedem empfehlen :)
Mittlerweile bin ich wieder daheim in Deutschland und die 14 Monate haben mich unglaublich bereichert!

Hey my name is Lena Schneider and I was in Australia. I got there in October 2011. I did a Discipleship Training School (DTS) from October till March. It's a character building school with an Organization called 'Yoth With A Mission' (YWAM). I learnd a lot about God and me and about the relationship that I have to him or the one that I desire :). The first 3 months were Lectures and the second part was an Outreach.
We were 52 Students and we had 5 Outreach-teams. Three in Papua Newguinea in different provinces, working with Kids and Churches and stuff. Two teams stayed in Australia, one team traveled to Darwin and worked in an aboriginal community and my team traveled down the east-coast. We were working in schools, did youth-programms, worked in PCYC's and did practical (yard-)work.
During this time I figured out that I have a huge passion for youth. I want to show God's heart and how unconditional he loves. And how AMAZING it is to have a real relationship with him! ( 'cause it is! ).
I really enjoyed my time with 'Youth With A Mission' and so I decided do stay three more months and do mission building - serving at one of the center's - I'm not getting paid but I also don't have to pay for food or accommodation either. I hope I am an encouragement and an enrichment to people here!
While I was here God really laid a school on my heart to think about. It's called 'School Of Innovative Youth Ministry' (SOIYM - http://ywamnewcastle.com/training/training-soiym/ ).
The leader of this school talked to me one night about it and I got really excited, so I prayed about it for, two weeks and after a couple of signs and confirmations I decided to do it. Now I'm applying! :)
I stayed there 'till December and it was great and wild.
Here is a line that i wrote in July 2012:
''And I know that I have to trust God a lot in finances and relationships and just the way he has for me. But I know that he's gonna provide and so I'm really excited to see how everything's gonna work out :) ''
Matthew 6:32+33 // >> For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.<<
God is doing great things and I am soo grateful that I made this step and came here! He has amazing plans and I can't wait to take more steps and run with him :
Hebrews 12:1+2 // >>Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith! For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.<<
I can just recommend to trust him and do steps in faith and boldness. IT'S THE BEST!
Now that I'm back home in Germany - looking back on the past 14 months I'm so incredibly thankful, the blessings I've received are unbelievable and I grew in God more than I ever thought was possible - and I'm still doing that!!
